Write the questions down before you pay.

Before you pay for any IPTV plan, get plain answers to eleven questions: what the price covers, how many screens can watch at once, what happens at renewal, whether anything charges automatically, what the refund terms are, how support works, which devices are supported, how you pay, whether your must-have channels or events are confirmed, where the content comes from, and how the service holds up at peak hours. If a seller dodges any of them, treat that as your answer.

Below, each question is explained first, with the red flag to watch for, and then answered using My IPTV Canada’s published terms so you can see how we respond. Use the same list on every provider you consider, including us.

Money questions (1 to 5)

1. What exactly does the price include?

A price means little without a term and a screen count. Insist that all three are stated together. At My IPTV Canada, prices are in CAD, for a chosen term of 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, and a chosen number of simultaneous connections from 1 to 4. One screen is CA$19, CA$29, CA$49 or CA$79 for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. Two screens are CA$29, CA$49, CA$89 or CA$129. Three are CA$39, CA$69, CA$119 or CA$179, and four are CA$49, CA$89, CA$129 or CA$199.

Always work out the monthly equivalent. A 12-month, one-screen plan at CA$79 is about CA$6.58 a month, which is roughly 65 percent less than paying the CA$19 one-month price twelve times (CA$228). That saving is compared with monthly renewals, not with cable.

2. How many screens can watch at the same time?

“Screens” and “devices” are different things. You may install the app on six devices but stream on only as many as your plan allows at once. Count the TVs and phones that actually run during a normal evening, then add one if teenagers are in the house. Our guide to how many connections you need walks through it, and single vs multiple connections shows the cost trade-off.

3. Does the price change after the first term?

Introductory pricing is common across subscription services. Ask for the renewal price in writing before the first payment. Our renewals use the same published prices. New customers receive bonus months (+1 on 3 months, +1 on 6 months, +2 on 12 months); the bonus does not apply to renewals or to 1-month plans. Current prices hold until January 15, 2027, after which they will rise, so that date is worth knowing if you are planning a 12-month purchase.

4. Will it renew and charge me automatically?

Automatic charges are how people end up paying for services they forgot. Our renewal is manual. We do not take automatic charges. You renew when you choose, using the renewal page.

5. What happens if it does not suit me?

Without a written refund policy, you carry all the risk. Eligible new paid subscriptions at My IPTV Canada have a 60-day money-back guarantee from first paid activation, with no refund fee. You can ask by WhatsApp, email or the refund request page. Read the full terms on the guarantee page, including what makes a subscription eligible.

Also ask what counts as proof that it did not work. A fair policy lets you test on your own TV, in your own evening peak, not just in a demo.

Service questions (6 to 8)

6. Who answers when something breaks?

At 9 pm on a Saturday, a ticket form is no help. Ask for a live channel, such as WhatsApp or email, which language it handles and when it answers. We offer English and French help and run customer service around the clock. Message us to test it before buying: how quickly someone replies tells you more than any promise.

7. Does it work on my devices?

“Works on all devices” is a slogan, not an answer. Ask about your exact model. Fire TV Sticks come in Fire OS and newer Vega OS versions, and the latter cannot install Android IPTV players the usual way; our Fire OS vs Vega OS guide explains. Samsung and LG smart TVs use their own stores. Our device list names what we support.

8. How do I pay, and is it safe?

Be wary of any form that asks for card details before you have spoken to a person. On our site, checkout asks for your name and email only. Payment options are confirmed with a person on WhatsApp before activation, and we accept Interac e-Transfer or other methods arranged there. We never ask for card details on the website. The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre publishes current scam patterns at antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca; read it before you send money to anyone online.

Content questions (9 to 11)

9. Are my must-have channels and events confirmed?

Be specific. Name the channel, the league, the language and the time zone. Games start at different local times across the country: a 7 pm Eastern puck drop is 4 pm in Vancouver. No honest seller can promise every match. Ask them to check your specific channel or event before you pay. We will do that if you message us. See our channels page for categories.

10. Where does the content come from?

Whether a service is licensed depends on its content source, and you are entitled to ask. We do not give legal advice; our overview is in is IPTV legal in Canada. If the answer you get is evasive, weigh that. Wikipedia’s article on IPTV explains how managed services from telecoms differ from open-internet services.

11. How does it perform at peak hours?

A trial on a quiet Tuesday afternoon proves little. The hard test is Saturday evening with the whole household on the network. Plan to test in that window and to check your own connection first: HD needs roughly 5 to 8 Mbps per stream, 4K roughly 15 to 25 Mbps. If you buffer, read how to fix IPTV buffering before blaming the service.

Test the plan when the whole household is online.

Worked example: what a household actually pays

Take a family of four with a living-room TV, a basement TV and two phones that rarely stream together. They need two simultaneous screens. Here is how the choice plays out at our current prices, which hold until January 15, 2027:

Two-screen plan cost by term at current My IPTV Canada prices (CAD)
Term Price Per month (before bonus months) New-customer bonus
1 month CA$29 CA$29.00 None
3 months CA$49 about CA$16.33 +1 month
6 months CA$89 about CA$14.83 +1 month
12 months CA$129 about CA$10.75 +2 months

Twelve one-month payments would total CA$348. The 12-month plan at CA$129 is about 63 percent less on that basis. With the two bonus months for a new customer the household is covered for 14 months for CA$129. The sensible path is to start on a shorter term only if you are unsure, since the 60-day guarantee already protects a longer purchase.

What to type in the chat before you pay

Skip the sales pitch and send five lines to any provider, ours included:

  1. “I have [device and model]. Which app do you recommend and do you help with setup?”
  2. “I want [specific channel or event]. Can you confirm it before I pay?”
  3. “I need [number] screens at once. What is the exact price for [term]?”
  4. “What is the renewal price, and does anything charge automatically?”
  5. “What is the refund window, how do I claim it, and is there a fee?”

Judge the replies on three things: speed, specificity and whether they match what the website says. A seller who answers clearly in the chat usually answers clearly when something breaks.

A seven-day test plan

  1. Day 1: install the player on your main TV and confirm the login works. Note how long setup takes.
  2. Day 1 to 2: check the guide, favourites and the channels you care about.
  3. Day 3: watch during a weekday evening on Wi-Fi, then repeat on Ethernet if you can.
  4. Day 4 to 5: start a second screen if you bought one, and watch both together.
  5. Day 6: watch a live event at its start, when load peaks.
  6. Day 7: message support with one real question. Judge the speed and the clarity.

If anything fails, you have 60 days to ask for a refund, not seven, so you can repeat the test across a weekend and a busier week.

When we may not be the right fit

If you want a single bill that includes your internet, phone and TV, with a technician and hardware supplied, a managed TV service from your internet provider will suit you better. If you rely on a particular local broadcaster that must be certain, ask us to check it first. And if you want a fixed multi-year contract, that is not how we work: we are a one-to-twelve-month subscription with manual renewal and a 60-day guarantee.

Frequently asked questions

What should I check before buying an IPTV subscription?

Check the total price for your term and screen count, renewal price, whether charges are automatic, the refund window, support channels, supported devices, and whether your must-have channels are confirmed. Test it at your busiest viewing hour inside the refund period.

How do I avoid IPTV scams in Canada?

Do not send card details through an unfamiliar form, and be wary of prices that seem impossible or sellers who refuse to answer refund questions. Confirm payment with a real person first. The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre lists current scam patterns and how to report them.

How many screens do I need on an IPTV plan?

Count the TVs and devices that run at the same time on a typical evening, not the number you own. Most small households need two. Add one if you have teenagers or a basement TV. Each extra screen raises the price.

Is a 12-month IPTV plan worth it?

It usually has the lowest monthly cost. With our one-screen plan, 12 months at CA$79 is about 65 percent less than paying CA$19 monthly twelve times. Choose it only after testing the service during the refund window.

Should an IPTV plan renew automatically?

Many people prefer it not to. Automatic charges can continue after you stop watching. Ask the seller whether renewal is manual. Ours is manual, so there are no automatic charges and you renew when you choose.

Can a provider promise every sports event?

No honest provider can guarantee every league or match, since rights and availability vary. Ask them to check your specific channel or event before you pay, and test it at a live start time inside the refund window.
