Apple announced a new Apple TV 4K on October 13, 2026. Pre-orders opened the same day, and Apple lists availability from November 13, 2026. Apple’s announcement gives a US price; check Apple’s Canadian store for local pricing.

Key changes

  • An A19 chip that Apple says delivers up to 50 percent faster CPU and up to twice the GPU performance of the previous model.
  • A dedicated AV1 video decoder, which helps with services that stream in that format.
  • Built-in Wi-Fi and Thread, three far-field microphones and a new Siri Remote that works with Find My.
  • Siri AI features, which Apple describes as in beta with tvOS 27.2.

Should IPTV viewers wait?

For most IPTV player apps, any Apple TV 4K that still receives tvOS updates is enough. Newer hardware mainly helps with app speed and future software support. If you are choosing between models, check that your preferred player app is available on tvOS and test it with your home network during a trial.
