A bundle is a deal only if you would pay for every service in it.

Short answer: streaming bundles in Canada are mostly sold by the big carriers. TELUS-family brands sell Stream+, Rogers sells Xfinity StreamSaver and Bell sells Bell Streaming bundles, each combining services such as Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, Apple TV or Crave on one bill. A bundle saves money only if you would otherwise pay for every service in it, at the same tier, and it usually requires you to be that carrier’s customer. Five minutes with the checklist below tells you whether a particular bundle is a deal for your household.

The main carrier bundles

Each carrier publishes its own terms, and they change. The table summarizes what each company said in the sources linked below, with the date of each source; check the carrier’s page for today’s price before you sign up.

Carrier streaming bundles in Canada, from carrier and trade sources
Bundle What it combines Price stated in the source Who can get it
Stream+ (TELUS family; terms shown on Koodo’s page) Basic: Netflix Standard with ads, Disney+ Standard with ads, Amazon Prime. Premium: Netflix Premium, Disney+ Premium, Amazon Prime. CBC Gem Premium included Basic $23.00 a month, Premium $43.00 a month, plus tax (Koodo page, October 2026) Residents with a qualifying service from Koodo, TELUS-family brands or partners
Rogers Xfinity StreamSaver Netflix, Disney+ and Apple TV in one plan, with optional Sportsnet+ add-on $22 a month when added to a Rogers Xfinity internet or TV plan (launch coverage, August 2025) Rogers Xfinity internet or TV and Rogers 5G Home Internet customers, coast to coast since October 2025
Bell Streaming Crave, Netflix and Disney+ in trio and two-service combinations Trio from $22 a month on Basic tiers at launch (August 2025); check bell.ca for current pricing Existing Bell Internet, Mobility, TV or Home Phone customers, or with a new Bell service

Rogers’ own release explained its savings claim by comparing against Netflix Standard with ads at $7.99, Apple TV at $14.99 and Disney+ Standard with ads at $8.99, a total of $31.97 a month. That is the right way to judge any bundle: against the tiers it actually includes, not against the most expensive tier of each service.

How to tell whether a bundle saves you money

Bundle advertising quotes the biggest possible saving. Your saving depends on what you would really buy without it. Work through these steps with your current bills open.

  1. List the services in the bundle, with their tiers. “Netflix” in a bundle may mean the ad-supported tier. If you currently pay for ad-free, compare like with like, or add the cost of upgrading.
  2. Cross off anything you would not pay for on its own. A service you never open is not a saving, even if it is “included”.
  3. Add up the standalone prices of what is left, using each service’s official price page for the tier you would choose.
  4. Compare that total with the bundle price plus tax. If the bundle is cheaper, it is a deal for you. If it is the same or higher, keep paying separately; you keep the freedom to cancel any one service.
  5. Check what happens after any promotion. Some offers start lower for a few months. Use the regular price in your sums.

A worked example

Take a household that already pays for Netflix Standard (CA$18.99 a month, from Netflix’s Canadian price page) and is thinking about a bundle that includes Netflix Standard with ads plus two other services. If they do not mind ads, the bundle might save them money; if they do, they need the bundle’s ad-free option or an upgrade, and the comparison changes completely. If they would never pay for one of the two other services, they should subtract it from the bundle’s claimed value. The exact figures depend on the bundle on offer that month, which is why the method matters more than any single price.

The fine print worth reading

  • Existing accounts. Koodo’s Stream+ terms say to cancel any existing Netflix, Disney+ or Amazon accounts before redeeming, to avoid being billed twice. Rogers says existing accounts can move over and keep viewing history. Bell notes that a service bought through Bell may need to be managed separately. Know which applies before you start.
  • Auto-renewal. Carrier bundles renew automatically on your carrier bill. Put a reminder in your calendar if you only want a bundle for a season.
  • Tied to the carrier. Most bundles require a phone, internet or TV service from that company. If you plan to switch providers soon, the bundle goes with the old account.
  • Cancellation. Check whether you can cancel one service inside the bundle, or only the whole thing. Koodo’s page says Stream+ can be cancelled any time through the account without extra charges.
  • Support. When an app misbehaves, you may have to deal with the streaming service for playback and the carrier for billing. The CRTC’s Television Service Provider Code sets rules for TV service providers, and the CCTS handles complaints about the TV services it covers.

Other ways services get bundled

  • Service-to-service bundles. Some streaming services sell combined plans or let you add another service inside their app. These do not require a carrier account, but the same maths applies.
  • Channels inside an app store. Prime Video and Apple TV let you add subscriptions to other services and pay through one account. Convenient, but not usually cheaper.
  • Mobile plans with a service included. Some phone plans include a streaming service at no extra charge. Check your plan before you pay for that service separately.

What streaming bundles do not cover

Every bundle above is built from on-demand services. None of them gives you a full live lineup of news, specialty and international channels with a program guide. Households leaving cable often find that the bundle covers their series and films, and that live channels are the piece still missing. If that is you, compare the whole monthly cost of each route in cable vs IPTV cost in Canada, and use the eight-step plan in cutting the cord in Canada so nothing falls through the gap.

For live channels, we offer 38,000+ channels and 250,000+ movies and series on the devices you already use for streaming; availability of any particular channel varies by source, so test the ones you need during the free 24-hour trial. One screen costs CA$19 for a month or CA$79 for twelve months, and two screens start at CA$29. Today’s prices hold until January 15, 2027. We do not auto-renew; we send reminders and you decide. Eligible new plans carry a 60-day money-back guarantee from first paid activation. See plans and prices.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best streaming bundle in Canada?

The best bundle is the one made up only of services you would pay for anyway, at the tier you would choose. Stream+, Rogers Xfinity StreamSaver and Bell Streaming each combine different services, so start with your must-have list and compare each bundle against the standalone prices of those services.

Do I need to be a Rogers, Bell or TELUS customer to get their bundle?

Generally yes. Each carrier ties its streaming bundles to its own phone, internet or TV services, or to buying one of them at the same time. Check the eligibility section on the carrier’s page.

Can I keep my existing Netflix account with a bundle?

It depends on the carrier. Rogers says existing accounts can move over and keep their history. Koodo’s Stream+ terms say to cancel existing Netflix, Disney+ or Amazon accounts before redeeming to avoid double billing. Read the terms before you activate.

Are streaming bundles cheaper than paying separately?

Only if you would have paid for every service in the bundle at the same tier. Rogers compared its StreamSaver price against $31.97 a month for the three services on ad-supported tiers. If you would not use one of the services, the real saving is smaller.

Do streaming bundles include live TV channels?

The bundles described here are made up of on-demand services. Some carriers sell TV packages alongside them, but the streaming bundle itself is not a live channel lineup.

Can I cancel a streaming bundle any time?

Terms vary. Koodo’s page says Stream+ can be cancelled any time through the account without extra charges. Check your carrier’s terms for whether you can drop one service or only the whole bundle.
